Senior Resort Engineering Director

Drive strategic growth by developing and standardizing engineering policies across resorts, overseeing maintenance and energy conservation, ensuring compliance, and leading team management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and standardize engineering policies to ensure consistency and best practices across all resorts.
  • Lead capital projects including renovations and new builds to maintain high-quality facilities and drive business results.
  • Establish benchmarks and KPIs for property-level engineering teams to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Maintenance & Operations:
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functioning of MEP systems.
  • Collaborate with resort teams to resolve issues swiftly and maintain high guest satisfaction levels.
Energy & Sustainability:
  • Drive energy conservation initiatives to reduce consumption and lower costs.
  • Implement sustainable practices aligned with global hospitality standards to minimize environmental impact.
Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all properties to avoid fines and reputational damage.
  • Conduct regular audits and mitigate risks proactively to maintain a safe working environment.
Team Development & Management:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor engineering teams to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Promote a culture of safety, service, and continuous improvement within the team.
Budgeting & Financial Management:
  • Manage annual engineering budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Approve expenditures for maintenance and capital projects to maintain high-quality facilities.

Qualifications: Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering; advanced certifications in facility or energy management preferred; 15+ years in hospitality engineering, with 5+ years in senior leadership.

Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities; expertise in building systems and CMMS tools; excellent communication and decision-making skills.
