Job Title: Backend Software Architect

About the Role:

We're building the next generation of relationship intelligence with an AI-native platform. We're seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to help us design scalable APIs, integrate structured data with AI models, and ensure our platform remains secure and reliable as we grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain backend services and APIs for core CRM objects (contacts, companies, deals, groups). These services will be used by multiple stakeholders across the organization.
  • Integrate LLMs with structured data through function calling and other AI-driven workflows.
  • Implement systems that ensure AI outputs are traceable and reliable. This involves designing logging mechanisms and testing frameworks to guarantee the accuracy of our AI-based recommendations.
  • Develop and optimize data models in Postgres/Prisma (with optional analytics layers such as ClickHouse).
  • Build secure, multi-tenant features with RBAC/ABAC and audit logging.
  • Support embeddings and vector search for intelligent free-text queries.
  • Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. This includes selecting optimal database indexes, adjusting API request limits, and implementing caching mechanisms.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong skills in Node.js/NestJS (or similar frameworks).
  • Proficiency in REST & GraphQL API design.
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres (Prisma or TypeORM).
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and AI/ML workflows.
  • Understanding of event-driven systems (SQS/Kafka/NATS).
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices (OAuth 2.0, multi-tenant systems, audit logs).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote, international team.
