Job Description

The engineer/developer will collaborate with team members and business teams to develop features according to requirements.

Key responsibilities include ensuring developments are aligned with best practices, monitoring progress on higher environments, and participating in production or test environment activities such as job monitoring and issue resolution.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies of the squad (Dailys, Sprint plannings, backlog refinements, reviews, etc…)
  • Communicate promptly on blocking points
  • Estimate, design, and build technical solutions for business needs & requirements according to Jira requirements (Change, bug fixing, …).
  • Perform unit tests of developed code and deliver it for user acceptance testing
  • Design technical solutions for business needs & requirements
  • Maintain clean code or robust infrastructure depending on developer / OPs expertise
  • Raise technical improvements and impediments
Contributing Responsibilities
  • Deliver the assigned amount of Jira tickets during a sprint
  • Conduct daily support/monitoring
  • Contribute to Engineer Chapter events and Tribe community (Guild with the Engineer Techlead)
  • Ensure platform behavior – guarantee platform stability with the tech lead and other members of the guild
Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Be autonomous on assets (Senior to expert level) and motivated on daily tasks.

Be an active member of the squad (often multi-technologies).

Be proactive by raising alerts when flagged, try to understand the global context and suggest how to solve issues without focusing only on subparts. This will also help understand the rest of the team (who may not work on the same tool).

Provide proofs that developments match requirements (test cases).

Have proper communication with Business. (English language).

Have knowledge regarding deployment/versioning tools (Git, Jenkins, …).

Have knowledge on project tracking software (Jira, QC, …).

Have knowledge regarding monitoring tools (Centreon, Dynatrace, …).

Have a strong background in SQL and be able to check some test cases directly by launching SQL requests on different databases.

Provide technical expertise to suggest optimization and technical enhancements.

Unix/Windows

Specific Technical skills required for this role:

Tibco BW (current version 5.14 upgrade planned to / Tibco EMS - Having some admin notions is not mandatory but can be an advantage.
