Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to build and maintain robust data pipelines and infrastructure, supporting real-time sports analytics and broadcasting. In this role, you will work closely with our Data Science team to design efficient, scalable data solutions, ensuring reliable data flow and integrity during live sporting events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Pipeline Development & Maintenance: Designing, developing, and maintaining efficient ETL pipelines and workflows on AWS to facilitate smooth data ingestion, processing, and analysis.
  • Data Transformation & Integration: Collaborating with the Data Science team to implement data transformation and aggregation algorithms that enable advanced pattern recognition and analysis of player positions, game events, and tactical trends.
  • Data Storage Optimization: Optimizing data storage and retrieval mechanisms to ensure high performance and low latency, supporting real-time data access for the broadcast and analytics teams.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implementing robust data quality measures and validation processes to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across multiple live events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven 2+ years of experience in data engineering roles, particularly in managing high-volume, real-time data.
  • Proficiency in AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway) and experience building cloud-based data solutions.
  • Strong experience in designing and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines, ideally with streaming data frameworks.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, with experience in building data transformation and aggregation algorithms.
  • Knowledge of data validation and data quality assurance best practices.
  • Experience with data storage solutions, performance optimization, and retrieval techniques for low-latency access.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools or libraries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with streaming and real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Spark) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of tracking algorithms and sports analytics is an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits
