Apparel Acquisition Specialist

The Apparel Acquisition Specialist is accountable for creating and executing a product assortment strategy that aligns with the brand's identity and drives sales growth. This role involves trend forecasting, vendor management, pricing strategy, and sales analysis.

  • Product Planning: Develop and manage a product mix that reflects current trends and customer preferences across all sales channels.
  • Purchasing Decisions: Make data-driven purchasing choices, negotiate with suppliers, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Pricing Strategy: Develop competitive pricing models in line with market trends and company financial goals.
  • Sales Performance Analysis: Regularly review sales data, adjust strategies, and report findings to senior management.
  • Trend Forecasting: Collaborate with design teams to stay ahead of fashion trends and identify new product opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless product launches and availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of apparel buying experience in retail.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and trend forecasting skills. Proficiency in Excel and buying/planning software.
  • Personal Attributes: Passion for fashion and creativity. Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
