eCommerce Marketplace Manager Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled eCommerce marketplace manager to oversee our company's presence on domestic and international marketplaces. This role requires a strong understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity.
- Channel Management: Develop and execute strategies to improve overall account health, profit, and loss across all platforms. Monitor key metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
- P&L Ownership: Drive key business metrics (conversion, gross merchandise value, average selling price, returns, cancellations, margins, etc.) on marketplaces. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
- Liaison with Marketplace Teams: Serve as a liaison with various marketplace teams regarding new product launches and advertising opportunities. Build and maintain relationships with category managers at all marketplaces.
- Strategic Insights: Provide ongoing strategic insights and recommendations for new marketplace channels with growth plans. Analyze market data and develop actionable plans to capitalize on emerging trends.
- Marketplace Operations: Oversee day-to-day marketplace operations, including post listings, promotions, merchandising, and performance. Manage quick response to marketplace seller support for faster resolution of listing, inventory, and account issues.
- Initiatives and Opportunities: Develop and oversee existing and new marketplace initiatives and opportunities designed to meet and exceed revenue goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through partnerships and collaborations.
- Time and Action Calendars: Develop time and action calendars with processes and procedures to ensure actions are successfully completed. Establish clear deadlines and milestones to drive results.
- Marketing Channels and Site Performance: Drill down into marketing channels and site performance metrics to explain variances to business. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions.
- SEO Efforts: Assist in SEO efforts including keyword research, site audits, page and site level optimization, link building, and competitive assessment. Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve online visibility and drive organic traffic.
- Cost Center Budgets: Develop cost center budgets and manage weekly inventory reports and sales reports, ensuring stock efficiency, and analyzing the sell-through of categories. Make data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation.
- Assortment and Inventory Plan: Develop and implement the assortment and inventory plan to match the sales plan, working with other divisions to maximize inventory. Analyze data to identify trends and patterns, and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
- Customer Service Reports: Review monthly customer service reports and put into place action items to ensure the efficiency of the process. Monitor and respond to customer feedback and concerns.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with the logistics team for the timely dispatch of articles. Ensure seamless integration between logistics and customer service teams.
- Reviews and Ratings: Adapt to using tools and techniques to manage reviews and ratings, and to keep a high sentiment score across categories. Monitor and respond to customer reviews and ratings.
- Marketplace Seller Rating: Coordinating with the logistics team for the Marketplace Seller Rating. Ensure timely resolution of issues and maintain high rating standards.
- Invoices and Payments: Review invoices and ensure full coordination with the finance team for any pending payments. Process payments efficiently and accurately.
