About the Role

  • This is a senior position requiring a seasoned professional with extensive experience in search technologies, specifically Apache Solr and/or OpenSearch.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, including asynchronous programming and dependency injection.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and experience with deploying workloads on ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, CloudFormation or CDK is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of search relevance concepts, including tokenization, stemming, analyzers, boosting, and query-time vs index-time strategies is essential.
  • Prior experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, encompassing unit, integration, and performance testing is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement efficient search solutions using Apache Solr and/or OpenSearch.
  • Develop high-quality .NET applications, focusing on asynchronous programming and dependency injection.
  • Migrate and deploy workloads to AWS, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Optimize search queries and improve relevance through the application of search algorithms and techniques.
  • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines and automate testing to ensure consistent quality.
