Job Title:

Seeking a visionary leader to spearhead eCommerce Search and Catalog engineering teams. This position entails building world-class search experiences, driving technical strategy, architecture, and execution for seamless, personalized high-performance experiences.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-performing engineering teams focused on search relevance, catalog management, and product discovery.
  • Define and execute the technical roadmap for search and catalog platforms, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate with Product, Data Science, UX, Business teams to deliver innovative and scalable solutions.
  • Champion engineering excellence, agile practices, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate high availability, performance, resiliency, and modularity of search services.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML, search technologies, and eCommerce innovation.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years software engineering experience, 5+ years in leadership roles, and people management experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale search systems in a high-traffic eCommerce environment.
  • Deep understanding of search technologies, data pipelines, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
  • Working knowledge of PIM systems, ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to make architectural decisions.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Java and Microservices architecture.
  • Elastic Search/Solr or similar.
  • Omnichannel Product Catalog management and integration.
  • NOSQL DB (MongoDB / Cassandra).
  • Event Streaming (Kafka) and Distributing Computing (Spark).
