About the Job

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work on projects involving heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical systems to meet local and international standards.
  • Apply relevant building codes and regulations.
  • Undertake design and modeling using Revit software.
  • Conduct calculations using industry-standard software.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
  • Assist in presenting design solutions to clients and contractors.
  • Review and check own designs as well as those prepared by others within the team.
  • Estimate project costs accurately.
  • Liaise with system engineers, third parties and suppliers to incorporate their requirements into the design.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare reports on sustainability options for buildings and infrastructure services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a consultancy.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status or able to demonstrate progression towards Chartership.
  • A minimum of 5-12 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in building services.
  • Familiarity with Multi-D environments and ability to coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Experience working on infrastructure projects, particularly in healthcare and rail/metro sectors is preferred.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office suite.
  • A good understanding of other disciplines is desirable.
  • Ability to write technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
