
Chief Test Strategist

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer plays a pivotal role in spearheading the QA department as a technical leader and mentor. This key position is responsible for crafting and implementing comprehensive testing strategies across the entire product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive QA mentorship program to foster growth among junior team members.
- Conduct regular technical training sessions on testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Lead code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure maintainability and efficiency.
- Guide team members in developing their career paths within QA.
- Facilitate weekly knowledge-sharing sessions to discuss testing challenges and solutions.
Technical Strategy and Implementation:
- Design and implement enterprise-level test automation frameworks that integrate with the CI/CD pipeline.
- Create and maintain detailed testing standards documentation.
- Develop performance testing strategies using JMeter, including complex test scenarios.
- Implement API testing frameworks using Postman, including automated regression suites.
- Build end-to-end testing solutions using Playwright, incorporating visual testing and cross-browser validation.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and efficiency.
Quality Process Management:
- Develop and maintain the organization's test strategy documentation.
- Create detailed test plans that align with business objectives and risk assessments.
- Implement defect management processes and establish severity/priority guidelines.
- Set up and maintain testing environments, including containerized solutions.
- Create and maintain test data management strategies.
- Establish release certification criteria and quality gates.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure testability of solutions.
- Collaborate with product management to define acceptance criteria.
- Work with development teams to implement testing within sprint cycles.
- Engage with operations teams to ensure proper test environment management.
- Present quality metrics and insights to executive management.
Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of testing methodologies, including TDD, BDD, and ATDD.
- Deep understanding of performance testing concepts, including load, stress, and endurance testing.
- Expertise in API testing methodologies and REST/SOAP web services.
- Strong background in database testing and SQL.
- Experience with mobile application testing across different platforms.
Tool Proficiency:
- Expert-level knowledge of Postman for API testing and automation.
- Advanced proficiency with JMeter for performance testing.
- Deep expertise in Playwright for end-to-end testing.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Programming Skills:
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred).
- Experience with test automation frameworks and design patterns.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
Domain Knowledge:
- Comprehensive understanding of gaming industry testing requirements.
- Experience with back-office application testing.
- Knowledge of security testing principles.
- Understanding of accessibility testing requirements.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance testing.
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of overall QA experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on test automation experience.
- Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience.
