Job Title: AS400 Specialist

As an AS400 Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications on the AS400 platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions.

The ideal candidate will have good technical/functional knowledge and be able to understand production issues and provide solutions. Expertise in AS400 tools and products like ROBOT, IBM Job Scheduler, and Change Management tools is also required.

You will perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to best practices. Additionally, you will provide technical support to end-users of AS400 applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS400 platform.
  • Work with AS400 applications using RPG, CL, SYNON, and DB2/400 for application development and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Perform code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Have good technical/functional knowledge and be able to understand production issues and provide solutions.
  • Have expertise in AS400 tools and products like ROBOT, IBM Job Scheduler, and Change Management tools.
  • Be experienced in WRKQRY and SQL, JOB, JOBQ, and subsystems.
  • Experience in Incident management, problem management, daily system monitoring, and break-fix solution for defects.
  • Provide technical support to end-users of AS400 applications.
