Financial Strategies and Business Growth

A leading Transaction Advisory firm seeks an experienced Chartered Accountant to join their team as a strategic financial partner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transaction advisory, with experience in financial modeling, valuation principles, and client servicing.

The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow, and investor communications for start-ups and high-growth companies. They will also build financial discipline and governance frameworks tailored for scaling businesses.

The role involves supporting valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions, as well as leading buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects. Additionally, the candidate will provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Retainerships
    • Oversee budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow, and investor communications for start-ups and high-growth companies.
    • Build financial discipline and governance frameworks tailored for scaling businesses.
  • Valuations
    • Support valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions.
  • Due Diligence
    • Lead buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects including financial health checks, revenue/margin analysis, working capital assessments, and historical reviews.
  • Tax Advisory
    • Provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions.
  • Client Management & Team Leadership
    • Manage multiple client engagements with professionalism and responsiveness.
    • Mentor junior colleagues and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • CA with 4–6 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory at a mid-tier boutique advisory or in a start-up finance team with exposure to FP&A and fundraise projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles.
  • Proven track record in client servicing and team management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Prior experience working with start-ups or within the start-up ecosystem is highly preferred.
