Compliance and Governance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to assume the role of Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance, as well as maintaining effective corporate governance practices.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advising the board of directors on matters related to corporate governance and compliance. This includes staying abreast of all relevant laws and regulations affecting the company's operations, developing and implementing compliance frameworks and procedures, and conducting regular audits and assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance frameworks and procedures.
  • Corporate Governance: Provide guidance to the board of directors on best practices for corporate governance. Organize and prepare materials for board and committee meetings.
  • Company Secretarial Functions: Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate records, including board minutes and resolutions. Facilitate communication between the board, management, and stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential legal and compliance risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for employees on compliance-related matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and corporate actions
  • Minimum 7+ years of business partnering experience
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to work with senior leaders across functions
