Production Manager Job Description\

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing unit. This role is responsible for delivering production targets while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing daily operations on the shop floor to ensure timely output.
  • They will also be responsible for supervising job placement, material flow, and stage-wise movement during fabrication and assembly.
  • In addition, they will design and execute layout plans for new lines/projects including fixtures, gauges, and equipment installations.
  • Maintaining and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), daily production reports, machine logs, and breakdown records will also be part of their responsibilities.
  • The Production Manager will manage in-process inventory and maintain efficient flow across the production chain.
  • Closely collaborating with R&D and design teams will be required for smooth onboarding of new products and structure types.
  • Monitoring production costs and resource utilization to meet predefined goals will also be necessary.
  • The successful candidate will enforce compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards.
  • Driving lean manufacturing practices, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts will also be expected.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality benchmarks and industry certifications specific to solar structure manufacturing will be essential.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar structure manufacturing or a related metal fabrication industry.
  • Proficient in managing production machinery, tooling, and quality control processes.
  • Solid understanding of solar mounting structures and associated fabrication methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, and production planning tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage shop floor teams and workflows.
