Design Engineer-Material Handling Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer-Material Handling Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing and developing material handling systems for various industries.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing material handling systems, including conveyor belts, silos, hoppers, vibrating feeders, screens, dust extraction systems, trippers, belt feeders, belt weighers, magnetic separators, and bucket elevators;
  • Developing functional and technical knowledge of reclaimer, stackers, barge loaders, barge unloaders, truck loading/unloading stations, crushers, pneumatic conveying systems, diverters, slide gate valves, lifting devices (hoist and EOT cranes), and software knowledge of conveyor belt design & 3D models;
  • Preparing process flow diagrams, schemes, and layouts for material handling systems in steel plants and power plants;
  • Preparing profile drawings, calculations, and general arrangement drawings for belt conveying systems;
  • Preparing technical specifications for material handling equipment, including reclaimers, stackers, screens, crushers, feeders, etc.;
  • Preparing bill of quantities (BOQ) or bill of materials (BOM) for conveying systems;
  • Preparing concept notes, flow diagrams, conveyor design calculations, GA drawings, and detail fabrication drawings for technological structures;
  • Procuring engineering services for material handling equipment, including datasheets, technical specifications, technical bid analysis/offer evaluation, technical recommendations, and vendor document reviews;
  • Maintaining knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IS/CEMA/ISO, etc.).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • 5-15 years of experience in design engineering;
  • Proficiency in Auto-CAD and MS Office.
