Electronics Engineer - EV Components Development

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to join our team in developing and ensuring the quality of Electric Vehicle (EV) components. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the development and quality assurance of EV components, including batteries, motors, and high-voltage cables.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Attending design reviews and providing inputs on EV components specifications
  • Conducting Design FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and Process FMEA of EV components
  • Evaluating EV component specifications and testing standards, including IEC and ISO requirements
  • Auditing EV component vendor processes and ensuring consistency with company standards
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting issues in EV systems using diagnostic tools
  • Testing EV components and preparing knowledge banks for inspection standards

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a lean environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Independence in working with CAD software, including UG NX and SolidWorks
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to lead root cause investigations
  • Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and analytical tools
  • Familiarity with various electrical and electronics instruments, including oscilloscopes and multimeters
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronics testing standards, including IEC and IEEE requirements

The successful candidate will also have experience in:

  • Lithium-ion battery development, analysis, and inspection, including manufacturing process and CTQ parameters
  • Motor development, analysis, and inspection, including manufacturing process and CTQ parameters
  • Manufacturing process and CTQ parameters of battery packs and traction motors
  • Battery Management System (BMS) logic, vehicle-level analysis, and BMS manufacturing process
  • Electrical and software architecture and interface, including CAN bus and communication protocols

Key qualifications include a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree or relevant industry experience.
