Job Title: EV Charger Product Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced EV charger product engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative EV charging solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing EV chargers (AC, DC fast chargers) and related components with expertise in power electronics, thermal management, and enclosure design.
  • Collaborating with hardware and software teams to integrate smart charging features, ensuring seamless communication between EV chargers, cloud platforms, and mobile apps.
  • Conducting electrical, thermal, and mechanical testing of EV chargers to validate hardware, firmware, and communication protocols, as well as performing failure analysis and troubleshooting to improve product reliability.
  • Ensuring quality control processes and compliance with safety regulations, including industry standards like ISO 15118, OCPP, IEC 61851, and UL.
  • Working with suppliers to select and validate components, implementing and testing communication protocols like OCPP, Modbus, and CAN, and staying updated with government policies, incentives, and mandates related to EV charging.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics & Communication or a related field.
  • Experience with firmware development (C, C++, Python) for EV chargers, with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, mechanical, compliance), collaborating with marketing and sales teams to define product specifications.
