Senior Technical Lead

The role of Senior Technical Lead is to oversee the technical aspects of product development and testing, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

This individual will be responsible for driving consistency in our divisional procedures, contributing to the success of our development and verification testing efforts, and signing off on key deliverables from a testing and test lab perspective.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the technical direction of product development and testing teams
  • Developing and implementing effective testing strategies to ensure product quality and reliability
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams to resolve complex technical challenges
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to inform strategic decisions

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years of experience in product development or testing
  • Strong 3D CAD modeling skills (Creo)
  • Experience in designing and developing machined, forged, and cast components, as well as manufacturing processes and mechanical design engineering principles

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in material selection knowledge, specifically for medical devices
  • Good understanding of current industry standards for product development and risk control practices, including designing of jigs and fixtures, inspection methods, and GD&T principles
  • Knowledge of tolerance stack-up, DFMEA, and risk analysis
  • Expertise in developing verification and validation methods
