We are seeking an experienced Desktop Professional to spearhead the implementation and management of large-scale desktop estates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive desktop strategies using SCCM 2012.
- Design and deploy software distribution and patch management frameworks.
- Create custom scripts for gathering client inventory and automate patch remediation processes.
- Test and release applications and patches using SCCM, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal downtime.
- Manage access controls on the SCCM console, database, and performance optimization.
- Analyze data and generate custom reports using SQL queries, providing actionable insights for compliance reporting on patching.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, resolve escalated tasks from support teams, and ensure timely issue resolution.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in desktop engineering with a background in managing large distributed desktop environments.
- Hands-on expertise in SCCM 2012, software distribution, and patch management methodologies.
- Familiarity with operating system deployment (OSD), Active Directory, and group policies.
- Ability to handle end-to-end patch management, resolve complex technical issues, and achieve SLA adherence.
- Experience in automation, PowerShell scripting, and SCCM client remediation techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and SCCM infrastructure is essential.
