
Lifts Business Development Manager

The role of the Vertical Transportation Expert involves acquiring a profound understanding of the Indian market for vertical transportation solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting our local profile, generating sales, and developing business relationships with customers and regulators.
Key Responsibilities:- Familiarize with the customer, competitor, authority, and regulation landscape in India.
- Provide market input for updating and fine-tuning of the VT strategy for India.
- Develop a business development strategy to implement the growth strategy provided by the BU LCC and TÜV SÜD South Asia, and meet agreed sales targets.
- Promote TÜV SÜD as a leading VT authority in India.
- Create and identify sales leads through networking, proactive industry observation and research, and effective sales channels.
- Manage customer relationships effectively, understanding customers' structure, needs, and constraints.
- Scale the business through continuous extension of the customer base and customer retention.
- Prepare sales presentations and sales materials in cooperation with the BU LCC and the marketing department.
- Cordinate with TÜV SÜD's global VT experts for joint customer presentations and visits.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other TÜV SÜD subsidiaries (e.g. Hungary, Middle East).
- Monitor upcoming events such as trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences, and prepare and coordinate TÜV SÜD's participation in coordination with the BU LCC and TÜV SÜD South Asia's senior management.
- Bachelor Engineering degree (electrical, mechanical).
- Master degree would be beneficial, in particular a business-oriented one (MBA).
To succeed in this role, you should have an integrative personality with strong leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the drive for shaping business development and sales activities. You should also have strong verbal and written communication skills in relevant local languages and English (min. B2 level), good presentation skills, strategic and analytical thinking skills, excellent telephone skills, MS office software skills, mobility, flexibility, and willingness for business trips in the region.
A basic knowledge of lift technology and industry, familiarity with inspections and certifications of VT, would be advantageous. Further training, as required, will be provided by TÜV SÜD upon joining.
