Job Description

The Transformation Lead is responsible for the effective delivery of large-scale change initiatives and their constituent projects into an organisation. This role ensures the realisation of expected benefits arising from projects within a transformation programme and develops excellent working relationships with key stakeholders to maximise potential gains.

  • Ensure transformation delivery to agreed business objectives, requirements, schedules, costs, benefits and quality objectives.
  • Capture requirements accurately and develop solutions to support the generation of a solid business case.
  • Establish, control and monitor project/programme timescales and budgets, obtaining necessary approvals and authorisations, considering dependencies and taking appropriate action to overcome delays, difficulties or cost overruns.
  • Provide direction and support for smooth project/programme initiation, enabling budget approval and prioritisation.
  • Plan, communicate and implement changes ensuring all affected parties fully understand the nature and implications of such changes.
  • Maintain good relationships with business sponsors and provide objective guidance and advice to ensure effective implementation.
  • Develop and maintain key working and influencing relationships with colleagues in own and other business units; influence buy-in and ensure new opportunities identified are exploited to business benefit.
  • Understand and identify programme risks, minimising risk to the organisation and maximising quality and timeliness of all deliverables.
  • Report transformation status.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience as a Project Manager with successful track records of managing application development projects through the full project life cycle.
  • Knowledge of finance and HR high-level business processes with the ability to drill down into lower-level business processes to understand project needs.
  • Extensive knowledge of Workday configuration, implementations and business processes.
  • Established programme management methods experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with confidence to challenge supportively and effectively where appropriate.
  • Proven ability to manage projects strategically and operationally.
  • Demonstrable experience in producing and delivering quality presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Strong understanding of project governance and controls including scope & deliverable management.
  • Fully explores the needs of internal/external customers and introduces additional specialist areas as required.
  • Switches seamlessly between different tasks and focus points, creating time for innovation and improvement.
  • Delivers on commitments to others and demonstrates accountability for all outcomes.
  • Experience of Jira or similar agile tools.
