Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at MSF in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network services.

Key Responsibilities

As an ICT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and implementing an up-to-date ICT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and electronic data.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and following up on all Information Technology (IT) and Telecom equipment tools and services in MSF India Offices in India, in accordance with MSF standards, policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Supervising, implementing, and improving data security protocols, including data saving, firewall, user access rights, backup security for equipment and software, etc. to ensure data security, availability, and immediate operational recovery and continuity in case of an emergency.
  • Performing any other task specific to his/her area of specialty as defined in his/her job description and according to the line manager.
  • Performing specific technical functions, including changing of hardware electronic components (disks, memories, network wiring, power sources, etc.) and routine repairs.
  • Ensuring that all the ICT equipment (servers, computers, printers, telephone, LL/ Mobiles, A/V equipment, etc.) are functioning smoothly and uninterrupted.
  • Assisting in the installation of commercial and in-house developed software and related upgrades.
  • Assisting in the management and acquisition of ICT software and hardware for specific departments.
  • Supporting users in backing up and restoring their files, as well as in virus detection, removal, and prevention.
  • Ensuring that software and antivirus updates are being delivered correctly on all systems.
  • Providing support at live events and meetings.
Supporting Network and System Administration

As an ICT Infrastructure Specialist, you will also be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting and monitoring of network-related problems.
  • Maintaining a log of all trouble reports and detailed resolution in the trouble ticket system.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting network systems, such as file servers, network printing, and connectivity.
  • Providing user support for all network access and all system-related software and devices (laptop drives, SharePoint).
  • Maintaining periodic backup of user data, MSF data, and share folders.
Providing Administrative Support

You will also be responsible for:

  • Managing and processing ICT bills of office and MSF guesthouse.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of software and hardware.
  • Maintaining the inventory and stock of supplies and spare parts in cooperation with the Facilities department.
  • Maintaining the filing system, ensuring safekeeping of confidential materials.
  • Extracting data from various sources.
  • Researching and retrieving data from internal and external sources; preparing statistical charts, tables, and reports as required.
  • Providing ICT support to key events/projects.
Briefing and Training

You will be responsible for providing ICT briefing and basic training to existing and new staff.

Procurement of ICT Equipment

You will be responsible for procuring ICT equipment for MSF India offices in India.

We offer a competitive salary of INR 40918 - INR 56641 (non-negotiable) per month, with a possibility of extension. We also offer a stimulating professional environment in a reputed international organization, with a 13th month bonus (equivalent to one month's gross) and contributions for statutory benefit programs such as Provident Fund and Gratuity. Medical reimbursement for employees and their dependents is also provided as per MSF's healthcare policy.
