Hotel Reservation Specialist

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our team as a Hotel Reservation Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast-growing organization.

The ideal candidate will have experience in hotel reservations, front office operations, and customer service. They will be responsible for handling client inquiries, converting leads into bookings, and maintaining accurate records.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the central reservation system, creating reservations, and updating customer information. Additionally, they will participate in marketing and promotional activities to drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling inbound and outbound client calls and messages to convert inquiries into bookings
  • Creating business from existing customer accounts by sending new offer updates, packages, and promotions
  • Maintaining the central reservation system, creating reservations, and updating customer records
  • Responsible for OTA marketing and promotion plans
  • Identifying new revenue generation opportunities to achieve personal and property revenue goals
  • Understanding the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand, etc., and knowing how to sell against them
  • Actively participating on social media travel-related groups for generating more leads and reaching out to prospective customers
  • Scheduling client visits for prospective clients and coordinating site visits
  • Maintaining and updating inquiry records, sales records for online and offline sales
  • Preparing daily check-in/check-out schedules for respective check-ins/check-outs and sharing with Operations team for site preparation
  • Collecting and maintaining customer information databases, contact details
  • Keeping track of balance payments receivable, extra charges, additional services rendered, and ensuring collection and update at check-in/check-out
  • Tracking the number of monthly inquiries through offline and online channels for sales analysis
  • Preparing and maintaining daily and weekly reports for leads and conversions
  • Preparing a review follow-up sheet and following up for reviews from guests
  • Conducting market research, competition mapping, and keeping the Management updated on new offerings by competitors
  • Helping in research and development of new online and offline sales channels/partners

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in front office/reservations department (hotels)
  • Excellent communication skills, English (written and spoken) is a must
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel is mandatory
