Process Operator Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate plant equipment in accordance with established feeding targets provided by Shift Engineers.
  • Maintain continuous monitoring of all plant parameters and report any abnormalities to the Shift Engineer or Operations Manager.
  • Record and report observations, deviations, and maintenance work allocations to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
  • Oversee section operations and provide regular status updates to relevant parties.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks with the maintenance team and guarantee that all equipment is operational.
  • Monitor utility usage and chemical additions while maintaining accurate records.
  • Prioritize and initiate work permits for maintenance and vendor activities within designated areas.
  • Manage manpower allocation and promptly report any issues to shift supervisors or Labor Officers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment through proper housekeeping practices.
  • E nsure the safety and well-being of personnel under your supervision, reporting any unsafe acts or conditions in real-time.
  • All non-routine tasks must be covered under permit systems, with strict adherence to LOTO procedures.
  • Closure of safety observations should occur within prescribed timeframes.
  • Adhere to all issued safety guidelines and precautions, ensuring the safety of workers under your supervision.
  • Timely report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Use required PPE based on work hazards.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of process safety protocols.
  • This role involves plant-based responsibilities, including monitoring, operations, and maintenance activities.
