Lead Biofuel Operations Specialist

Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading plant setup, commissioning, and operations in biofuel industries. The successful applicant will oversee daily plant activities to achieve targeted outcomes including throughput, yield, methane purity, and uptime.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure optimal digestion, gas cleanup/upgrading, compression, storage/dispensing, and utilities are maintained.
  • Establish a robust preventive/predictive maintenance program, run root cause analyses, and drive reliability improvements.
  • Manage external contractors, control project scope, change, and debottlenecking initiatives.
  • Oversee environmental health and safety, ensure statutory compliance, and own standard operating procedures, permits, emergency response plans, and audit readiness.
  • Build and mentor operations teams, drive data-led improvements, and cost control initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
  • Extensive experience in biofuel/biogas/CBG or closely related continuous-process industries.
  • Proven track record of technology evaluation and verification, including vendor due diligence, guarantees, trials, and acceptance testing.
  • Solid command of environmental norms and compliance.
  • Demonstrated team leadership, stakeholder management, and effective communication skills.
