Job Profile:

We seek a detail-oriented and experienced professional to specialize in U.S. Commercial Real Estate audits, working closely with U.S.-based engagement teams.


Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and assist with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients under US GAAP and US GAAS standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate day-to-day duties, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards generally accepted in the United States.
  • Conduct independent research on US GAAP & US GAAS to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to strong client relationships through positive interactions and effective communication.
  • Communicate work status and client issues to supervisors or managers promptly.

Position Requirements:

  • CPA (or in process) or CA with 3-5 years of experience within a public accounting firm or US auditing CPA firm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Industry exposure: Commercial Real Estate.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills to collaborate with colleagues and lead projects.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Approaches projects with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills to deliver high-quality results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, or IDEA is an asset.
