Agile Team Facilitator

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise to establish standards for Agile team collaboration, leveraging Jira and other tools.
  • Foster a collaborative environment through team events like Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor team performance proactively, providing guidance as a servant leader and coach.
  • Create an atmosphere conducive to focus and productivity.
  • Educate the team on Lean and Agile principles, such as Scrum.
  • Cultivate awareness of challenges, gaps, and blockers, guiding the team towards actions that remove impediments.
  • Support the Product Owner in managing the backlog and facilitating team decision-making.
  • Enhance communication and relationships with cross-functional teams, particularly those on the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Analyze team metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Pursue continuous learning and improvement as a Scrum Master to optimize support for the team's success.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree with 4-6 years experience in Computer Science, IT or related field or Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years experience.

Required Skills:

  • Must-Have Skills:
    • 5+ years delivery management or project management experience.
    • 2+ years experience working in highly agile environments (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
    • ITIL and Service Management experience.
    • Experience operating within validated systems environments (FDA, European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products, etc.).
    • Ability to work collaboratively and build strong working relationships; effectively interface with stakeholders, operations, and management to resolve issues.
    • Capacity to organize tasks, develop realistic action plans incorporating time constraints and task priorities.
    • Previous experience working in diverse environments.
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Jira experience.
    • SAFe training experience.
  • Good-to-Have Skills:
    • Workshop facilitation experience.
    • Survey building experience using Slido or similar tools.
    • Professional certifications, including SAFe.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent people and project management skills.
    • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Success in managing multiple priorities.
