Accounting and Taxation Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting and Taxation professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing various accounting, taxation, and audit-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Auditing & Internal Controls

Statutory Audits and Tax Audits

  • Conduct statutory audits and tax audits under the Income Tax Act.
  • Prepare working papers and documentation required for audits.
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of internal financial controls.
  • Prepare details for Form 3CD and other tax audit-related schedules.

Taxation

  • File income tax returns for individuals, firms, and companies.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
  • Handle TDS computation, payment, filing, and issuance of Form 16/16A.
  • Manage professional tax registrations and compliance.

Notice Handling

  • Draft and file responses to income tax notices (e.g., 143(1), 139(9), etc.).
  • Reply to GST notices, show cause notices, and queries from departments.

Registrations & Approvals

  • Manage GST registration and amendments for businesses.
  • Assist NGOs and trusts in obtaining 12A & 80G registrations.
  • Support startup India registration and related compliance.

Compliance & Legal Updates

  • Ensure timely filings and updates under GST, TDS, and income tax laws.
  • Process amendments in registrations (address change, PAN updates, etc.).
  • Stay updated on statutory changes and implement them accordingly.

General Accounting Support

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Support in budgeting, reporting, reconciliations, and book finalization.
  • Assist in preparation of data for audits, assessments, and inspections.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws: GST, Income Tax, TDS, etc.
  • Experience in tax audits and statutory audits.
  • Proficiency in tally, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • B. Com / M. Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
  • CA semi-qualified or CA dropout – preferred.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, and audit, preferably in a CA firm or consulting environment.
