Job Title: Senior Associate Legal

Job Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that supports early-stage startups across multiple geographies. As a Senior Associate Legal, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of Private Equity and Venture Capital investment transactions, along with overseeing key legal and regulatory functions.

The role involves dealing with diverse legal challenges and responsibilities, including structuring due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and closing support. You will also be required to ensure adherence to SEBI regulations for Category I Alternative Investment Funds, including filings, reporting, governance, and investor disclosures.

In addition, you will be expected to handle a wide range of investment and commercial agreements, such as shareholder agreements, JV agreements, SAAS agreements, IP licenses, MSAs, and proposals. Your ability to manage multiple projects independently and work closely with internal teams, external counsel, investors, and portfolio companies is crucial for success in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • LLB degree or additional qualifications like CS, LLM, or certifications in securities law are a plus.
  • 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably with exposure to PE VC transactions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, securities, and M&A law.
  • Proven drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
