Job Summary

Evalueserve is a leading consulting firm seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst to join our team dedicated to supporting clients' pricing operations for the Americas. The role involves updating pricing calculations, processing output, handling interventions during market events, and conducting pricing adherence analysis.

The ideal candidate will have relevant consulting experience, knowledge of financial basics, and preferably, experience in the metals and mining industry.

We're looking for a candidate with:

  • Deep knowledge of the lubricant industry, including business and technical aspects.
  • A good understanding of lubricant sales and marketing channels, various stakeholders, industry promotion practices, and dynamics.
  • The ability to think through various business issues of the current lubricant industry and value chain, and develop a point of view to suggest/advise/support clients on live business problems.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain concepts and key considerations behind the flow of goods and services, inventories, impact on business, and associated metrics.
  • Ability to identify and recommend potential strategic business and solution areas by cross-referencing available primary and secondary data along with prior knowledge of the lubricant industry and prevailing trends.
  • Takes a proactive role in the quality control process for the client and conducts training, and allied activities with the team and the group.
  • Develops deep expertise in specialized research tools, databases, and sources; may focus on specific data classes (e.g., demographics, micro-economics, technical, etc.).
  • Analyzing competitive market strategies through analysis of related competitor products and services along with identification of future trends and offerings.
  • Ability to identify opportunities among challenges and create position papers/white papers and discussion write-ups.
  • Client and stakeholder expectation management, communication, leading client calls, and providing thought leadership to the team, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of industry structure, players, products, channels, standard processes, and methodologies.
  • Understanding of the industry regulatory environment.
  • Highly adept in understanding business issues and translating them into research priorities.
  • Ability to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely manner.
  • Effective communicator with excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving & organizational abilities.
  • Challenging current thinking by implementing new ways of working.
  • Possess a flexible & detail-oriented attitude and ability to appreciate ambiguities.
  • Ability to identify proactive ways to contribute to firms' goals & mission.
  • Ability to understand the client's business environment, language, processes, etc.

What You'll Need to Have:

  • 3-5 years of experience with a reputed firm in Industrial, Commercial, and Passenger Lubricants firm. Or a seasoned research professional with exposure to the lubricant Industry through past roles.
  • Comfortable with MS Office tools, Proficient with Word, Excel, and presentation.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Finance, Business, Economics, etc.). Graduating with a business or Technology degree, Master or MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in pricing analysis or a related field, especially in the lubricants or automotive industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
