Job Title: Cost Estimation Specialist

The role of a Cost Estimation Specialist involves playing a vital part in managing costs associated with specialized systems within construction projects. This position requires the ability to work closely with project stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Studying project scope in-line with design requirements
  • Validating technical specifications received from the design team
  • Optimizing specifications without deviating from client requirements
  • Validating bills of quantities (BOQs) and backup workings
  • Presenting BOQs and solutions to management for approvals
  • Checking RA bills and final bills
  • Preparing amendments
  • Validating budget cost analysis based on benchmark cost matrices
  • Submitting different budget options considering alternative solutions to actual design
  • Exploring new products and taking them to approvals
  • Proposing different optimization options in budgets
  • Completing budget requirements within given timelines without delays
  • Preparing reports on cost analysis of projects as per management

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a detailed understanding of systems and construction processes, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in relevant software, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
