About This Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Practice Lead to spearhead our data engineering practice. As a seasoned expert in the field, you will drive the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using cloud platforms.

This role involves leading a team of data engineers, setting strategic directions for projects, and ensuring adherence to best practices in data architecture, data management, and analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on Databricks, Azure, and AWS, with a proven track record of managing data engineering teams and OEM relationships.

  • Design and Implement Scalable Data Architectures: Leverage your expertise in designing and implementing scalable data architectures using Databricks, Azure, and AWS.
  • Develop and Execute Data Engineering Strategy: Develop and execute a data engineering strategy aligned with organizational goals and client needs.
  • Manage OEM Relationships: Manage OEM relationships to leverage partner technologies and enhance data solutions.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions that enhance decision-making processes.
  • Mentor and Guide Data Engineers: Mentor and guide a team of data engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Establish Best Practices: Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and security across all data solutions.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree from a Tier-1/Tier-2 Institute (IITs, IIMs, ISB, BITS Pilani, NITs or equivalent).
  • 10+ Years of Experience: 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Databricks, Azure, and AWS.
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record of leading and managing data engineering teams.
  • Experience with OEM Relationships: Experience in managing OEM relationships to enhance product offerings and integration.
  • Expertise in Strategic Data Platform Roadmaps: Proven expertise in advising clients on strategic Data Platform roadmaps, including the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data engineering solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • In-Depth Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop) and data pipeline tools.
  • Strong Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
