Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineering Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data analytics solutions using Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of data analytics solutions using Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong background in Python.
  • Experience with data transformation, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of popular Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Requests.
  • Experience with SCM tools like Git and Bitbucket.
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
  • Unit testing frameworks like Pytest and Unit Test.
  • Good communication and debugging skills.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or Pyramid).
  • Knowledge of object-relational mapping (ORM).
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (like React JS, JavaScript and HTML5).
  • Team spirit.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
