Key Role: Senior Data Engineer

We seek an accomplished and driven Senior Data Engineer to join our expanding Data Engineering team. As part of our global analytics ecosystem, you will contribute to designing, building, and optimizing scalable data platforms and pipelines that support analytics, insights, and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design Scalable Data Solutions: Contribute to the design of secure and scalable data engineering frameworks for analytics and Business Intelligence (BI).
  • Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Build and maintain robust pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across diverse systems.
  • Leverage Azure Platform Tools: Utilize services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics to implement enterprise-grade data solutions.
  • Enable High-Performance Reporting: Optimize Synapse SQL Dedicated Pools and integrate with BI platforms like Power BI to enable high-performance reporting and dashboarding.
  • Ensure Data Quality & Governance: Implement validation checks, lineage tracking, and quality monitoring to ensure data integrity and trust.
  • Tune Data Solutions for Scale and Efficiency: Optimize data solutions for cost-effectiveness and performance in large-scale environments.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work alongside Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Managers, and Business Leaders to align data work with business needs and strategy.
  • Encourage Knowledge Sharing: Foster best practices, continuous learning, and knowledge exchange within the team.
  • Develop Commercial Acumen: Gain a strong understanding of the commercial landscape and strategic goals.

This role offers a balance between technical contribution and broader business engagement. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions while developing a strong understanding of the commercial landscape and strategic goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark/Spark SQL.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • Understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and BI-driven architecture.
  • Ability to work with diverse data sources (APIs, flat files, Excel, PDFs, relational databases).
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Git, and CI/CD for data workflows.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Interest in learning the business context behind the data and its strategic applications.
