Job Purpose

This is a leadership role that requires a seasoned professional to drive the transformation and embedding of our culture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic reports on all areas of HR, including payroll, learning and development, employment law, HR policy, best practice, and workforce development.
  • Advise on the development of effective employment policies across the organization.
  • Provide professional leadership, support, and development to HR staff to increase knowledge, share best practices, and meet relevant professional standards.
  • E nsure that the organization complies with current regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, and procedures, as well as legislation (including data protection, equality act, and health and safety).
  • Manage the execution of the HR strategy and core areas of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, workforce administration, employee engagement, payroll, reward and recognition, and maintaining and improving HR systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with a focus on engagement and welfare activities, maximizing productivity, devolving HR responsibilities to line managers, and building leadership capability.
  • Take a lead role in transforming and strengthening the organizational culture, ensuring that our values and approach are displayed.
  • Develop and execute a plan for diversity, equality, and inclusion that aligns with our values, business strategy, and commitments.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and support senior and high-potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop effective relationships, and encourage retention.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Education Requirement: Master's degree in human resources or related field.
  • Work Experience: 12+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a senior leadership position.
  • Leadership skills: Proven ability to create people strategies, drive performance using metrics, and lead with integrity.
  • Commercial acumen: Strong commercial awareness and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Interpersonal skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills: Proven ability to think innovatively and rationally about concerns and come up with creative solutions.
  • Team management: Experience of managing a skilled team and making quick but rational decisions.
  • Employment law: In-depth knowledge of employment law and its application in the workplace.
  • Attention to detail: Thorough and methodical attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Communication skills: First-rate communication and presentation skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
