Senior Financial Strategist

This role involves serving as a trusted advisor to start-ups, overseeing budgeting, MIS reporting, cash flow, and investor communications.

  • Develop financial discipline and governance frameworks tailored for scaling businesses.

The ideal candidate brings both technical expertise and the ability to act as a strategic partner to founders and investors.

Key Responsibilities

a. Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Build and manage financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business growth.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance profitability.

b. Valuations & Due Diligence

  • Support valuations for fundraises, secondary transfers, and M&A transactions in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead buy-side/sell-side due diligence projects, including financial health checks, revenue/margin analysis, working capital assessments, and historical reviews.

c. Tax Advisory & Compliance

  • Provide tax structuring advice for business models and transactions, including cross-border setups, holding structures, ESOPs, and exits.

d. Client Management & Team Leadership

  • Manage multiple client engagements with professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

  • CA with 4–6 years of relevant experience in transaction advisory at a mid-tier boutique advisory or in a start-up finance team.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, taxation laws, financial modeling, and valuation principles.
  • Proven track record in client servicing and team management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
