JD – Chief Information and Security Officer

This is a senior leadership role focused on Information Security, Risk Management, and Compliance. We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to join our dynamic leadership team. As the CISO, you will be responsible for owning and driving the enterprise-wide security strategy, ensuring resilience, compliance, and trust across our global payments infrastructure.

Security is crucial to the success of our company, so your role will be instrumental in protecting our systems, partners, and customers, while enabling secure scale across multiple jurisdictions. We are looking for someone with deep expertise in cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and a strong understanding of the Payments, FinTech, and Web3 industries in which our company operates.

TransFi operates in both B2B and B2B2C models, so familiarity with global financial ecosystems, banking partners, and regulatory regimes is highly advantageous. You should have a sharp awareness of data protection, fraud prevention, and AML/KYC/KYT compliance requirements, and be enthusiastic about staying ahead of evolving cyber risks and regulatory frameworks.

Adaptability is key in this role, as both Web3 technologies and regulatory landscapes are constantly evolving. You must be open to innovation, continuous learning, and collaborating with diverse teams across geographies. Key Responsibilities

• Own the enterprise-wide security program for a multi-jurisdiction payments infrastructure.
• Align policies and controls with global standards (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, DORA, NIST, MAS, FCA, RBI).
• Define frameworks for customer data protection, fraud monitoring, and secure payment APIs.
• Drive audit readiness and manage relationships with regulators, banks, and compliance partners across regions.
• Ensure adherence to AML/KYC/KYT, PSD2, and local payment regulations in operating geographies.
• Lead global SOC functions—incident response, forensics, penetration testing, and threat intelligence.
• Ensure resilience across cloud, APIs, wallets, and banking connectors with 24/7 monitoring.
• Hire, mentor, and scale a world-class InfoSec, compliance, and fraud prevention team.
• Build a "security by design" culture across engineering, product, and operations.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge tools for real-time transaction monitoring, AI-driven risk scoring, and fraud detection.
• Embed DevSecOps practices across global product engineering teams.

Qualifications & Skills

• 8+ years in cybersecurity, with 5+ years in senior leadership within FinTech, payments, or banking.
• Proven expertise in cross-border payments, card networks, wallets, and banking integrations.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CIPP, CCSP or equivalents strongly preferred.
• Experience engaging with global regulators (FCA, MAS, RBI, EU, US FinCEN, etc.).
• Knowledge of AML/KYC/KYT systems, transaction monitoring, and fraud analytics.
• Excellent executive communication—able to translate technical risks into board-level strategy.
