Ignition SCADA Developer

About this role:

  • This position involves designing, configuring, and deploying Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.
  • The ideal candidate will architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.
  • We are looking for someone who can ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud.
  • A strong focus on developing and maintaining secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols is required.
  • The developer will also manage industrial databases, SQL historian, time-series databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs is essential.
  • This role requires technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime is a key responsibility.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Ignition SCADA and MES application development.
  • Strong understanding of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES, and enterprise IT systems.
  • Proficiency in developing secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Ability to design and deploy real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience with industrial databases, SQL historian, time-series databases for high availability and performance.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, and predictive analytics.
