About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technology Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation and experience with OT/IT integration technologies. They will also possess excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems, PLC, SCADA, MES with enterprise IT systems, ERP databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases, SQL historian, timeseries databases for high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.
  • Proficiency with database technologies: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards: ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms: Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation/Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications: Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
