Job Title: Compliance Specialist

The Compliance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the organization maintains its legal integrity by providing expert counsel, managing litigation, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and advising on policy development to protect the institution's interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides timely and accurate legal advice on various matters to senior administrators and ensures the organization adheres to all relevant laws and regulations.

Contract and Document Management:

  • Drafts, reviews, and vets legal documents, including Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and standard agreements with external parties.

Litigation Management:

  • Coordinates with external legal advisors and prepares responses to grievances, and attends court when necessary.

Policy Development:

  • Monitors and manages internal legal processes, updates existing internal policies, and helps formulate and implement new ones.

Grievance and Dispute Resolution:

  • Serves as a member secretary for committees, such as the Committee Against Sexual Harassment, and handles internal disputes from a legal perspective.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in law (LLB or LLM) from a recognized institution with Bar Council of India registration.

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of six years of experience is required as an advocate or working in the legal department of an organization preferably in the education sector, demonstrating hands-on application of legal knowledge.
  • Possesses strong analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills, along with excellent oral and written communication abilities. Knowledge of Telugu is a must.
