Performance Optimization Specialist

As a key contributor to our software engineering teams, you will play a pivotal role in driving performance and correctness across our product range. Our centralized performance engineering team serves as the focal point for shared tools, dashboards, measurement frameworks, analytical capabilities, and skills development.

By joining our collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to work with every major silicon vendor and cloud, focusing on performance optimization of the entire stack for specific architectures, CPU families, or hypervisors. Your work will be centered around ensuring Ubuntu users can select their preferred platforms for workloads and enjoy top-notch performance and efficiency across the entire stack.

A unique aspect of this role is the possibility to move between products every two years, allowing you to raise the bar for performance in various products over time while also bringing fresh eyes to different teams' processes, thinking, harnesses, dashboards, and code.

Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
