Civil Design Engineer Role

Our company is seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team in ensuring the successful execution of solar projects. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting designs issued by our head office for implementation at site.

The primary responsibilities of this role include preparing or modifying civil designs/drawings at site when required, performing structural calculations and basic engineering design for site-specific changes, and developing detailed civil/structural drawings using AutoCAD or other software.

You will also verify ground conditions through site surveys and soil/level checks before finalizing designs, ensure execution of foundations, trenches, drainage, boundary walls, and roads as per design, and issue design change notes/marked-up drawings and coordinate approval with HO.

In addition to these tasks, you will prepare and update as-built drawings for all civil works executed at site, support quality team by validating reinforcement, concrete mix, and other design parameters, and coordinate with electrical/mechanical teams to resolve interdisciplinary design issues.

To succeed in this role, you should have proficiency in civil/structural design and drafting tools, a strong understanding of foundation, drainage, and structural design principles, knowledge of solar project-specific civil works, ability to create quick design solutions at site while adhering to codes and safety norms, excellent communication and coordination skills, problem-solving mindset, B.E./B.tech in Civil Engineering, 5–8 years of experience in civil design and site execution, hands-on experience in AutoCAD/structural design software, and familiarity with IS codes and solar industry standards.
