Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead technical reviews of wastewater models and oversee the build and verification of sewer networks to ensure effective project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with designers at concept outline and detailed design stages to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Enhance technical reports and presentations to uphold rigorous standards and support informed decision-making.
  • Address technical modelling challenges on projects and contribute to advancing team expertise in this area.
  • Evaluate project components, including reports, drawings, specifications, and studies, to ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with clients to ensure they understand model outputs and processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Assist with bid preparation, including narratives, cost estimates, and programmes.
  • Coordinate project elements, managing resource allocation, quality assurance, subcontractor interactions, and client feedback.
  • Collaborate with specialists from other engineering and environmental disciplines to maintain project integrity.
  • Maintain close communication with the Project Director or Manager and the client to support project progress.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  • Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of 7-12 years of experience in Water Resources Management/Environment/Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulic modelling for various wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent skills in team and stakeholder coordination and management.
  • Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM software.
  • Familiarity with HADES would be beneficial.
  • Competence in using relevant GIS software packages.
  • Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM).
  • Proven experience in model quality assurance procedures.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Advanced data analysis abilities using spreadsheet software.
  • Coding experience is desirable.
