Water Resources Engineering Specialist

Assume a leading role in hydrological and hydraulic analyses, ensuring effective water flow pattern assessment and flood risk mitigation strategies. Utilize your expertise to design sustainable stormwater and drainage systems, leveraging AutoCAD, GIS, InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, or similar tools.

Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of drainage projects, guaranteeing compliance with technical standards and regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to address design and implementation challenges.

Deliver projects within schedule, technical quality standards, including QA, HSE, and sustainability requirements. Assist in preparing fee proposals and maintaining financial control of projects.

Prepare technical reports and documentation for regulatory approvals. Conduct site inspections to collect data and evaluate drainage system performance.

Provide technical support and advice to engineers, planners, and construction managers. Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring performance and professional development.

Participate in client meetings, reviews, and presentations to represent the firm effectively.
Requirements

12+ years of experience with reputed engineering design firms.

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (mandatory).

Master's degree in Hydrology/Water Resources Engineering (preferred).

Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification desirable.

Proven expertise in hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessment, and SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) design.

Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, GIS, InfoDrainage, SewerGEMS, or equivalent.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, leadership, and project management abilities.

Knowledge of regulatory standards and environmental guidelines.

International project experience is an added advantage.
