Senior Officer - Product Compliance Job Description

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Officer to join our Product Compliance team.

This role involves supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen compliance culture across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, implement and maintain product compliance policies, procedures and standards in alignment with global and local regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Assess and manage business risks related to product compliance, including those arising from acquisitions, partnerships or product development.
  • Compliance Awareness and Education: Act as an internal advisor to increase awareness and ensure understanding of compliance obligations across departments.
  • Audit and Compliance Support: Conduct or support internal audits, gap assessments and risk analyses related to product compliance.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare compliance documentation, regulatory reports, certifications and maintain accurate filing of compliance records.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams on remediation plans and ensure timely resolution of compliance issues.
  • Regulatory Affairs: Liaise with local and regional regulatory authorities as required, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Lead or contribute to projects involving regulatory changes, product certifications and process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory or risk management role preferably in manufacturing, electronics or product-driven industries.
  • Skills and Qualifications:- Strong understanding of global product compliance regulations (e.g RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Conflict Minerals etc.)- Experience in compliance audits, assessments and risk mitigation strategies.- Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Strong organizational and time-management skills.- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Bonus Requirements:

  • Professional Certifications: Professional certifications such as CRCM, CCEP or equivalent are a plus.
  • International Work Experience: Experience working with international teams and regulatory bodies is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems or compliance management tools is a plus.
