Lead Academic Executive

The Lead Academic Executive oversees the strategic direction and academic leadership of a medical university. They drive the continuous improvement of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment based on learning outcomes, technological advancement, and industry needs.

The role involves building a vibrant research culture by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publishing, and securing research funding. It also entails strengthening institutional frameworks and administrative systems to facilitate cutting-edge research and seamless academic operations.

The position requires ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements while overseeing the functioning of statutory bodies such as the Academic Council, Finance Committee, and Board of Management with a focus on governance, transparency, and accountability.

Key responsibilities include representing the university at national and international platforms to build visibility and reputation. The role also involves establishing partnerships with academic institutions, healthcare providers, research bodies, and industries to support student internships, placements, and knowledge exchange.

Championing student welfare, mentoring, career readiness, and holistic development is another key aspect of this position. Creating a safe, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating campus environment is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications include being a distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputed institution within a private university system. A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, Administration, management is required. Minimum 10+ Years of experience as professor or equivalent positions held in university system or reputed research or academic administrative organizations is required.

Proven expertise in steering institution toward top NIRF rankings /NAAC accreditations etc. is essential. Must have significant leadership experience in developing and executing a strategic vision; a persuasive and sophisticated communicator who can advance the institution's reputation.
