Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation, as well as strong experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

The successful candidate will design, build, and optimize infrastructure automation solutions across cloud-based and hybrid environments. They will work closely with DevOps, Operations, and Security teams to streamline software development life cycles (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Reusable IaC Templates: Create scalable and efficient IaC templates to automate provisioning and configuration across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
  • Implement VMware Automation: Use Aria stack to enable policy-as-code and automate VMware infrastructure.
  • Manage OpenShift Clusters: Ensure smooth operation of containerized environments.
  • Build CI/CD Pipelines: Integrate automated testing and quality checks for deployments using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Streamline SDLC processes and improve collaboration between teams.
  • Deploy and Optimize Infrastructure: Leverage expertise in VMware, OCI, and Google Cloud to deploy and optimize infrastructure.
  • Enable Multi-Cloud Strategies: Implement Kubernetes/Docker to enable multi-cloud and hybrid strategies.
  • Automate Solutions: Automate solutions on Nutanix platforms and hyperscaler environments.
  • Implement Monitoring and Scalability: Design and implement monitoring, auto-scaling, and self-healing mechanisms.
  • Ensure High Availability: Troubleshoot and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with IaC tools.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Expertise: Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
  • VMware Automation: Expertise in VMware automation and Aria stack.
  • Nutanix Experience: Familiarity with Nutanix (AHV, Prism, Calm).
  • Git/GitOps Workflows: Familiarity with Git/GitOps workflows.
