Marketing Executive Job Description:
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with key media contacts to secure press coverage.
  • Prepare targeted press releases for local, regional, and international media outlets.
  • Collaborate with corporate and international press offices to develop compelling story angles.
  • Play a key role in community and government relations, as well as VIP handling.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to direct and attend hotel-sponsored events, developing targeted partner relationships.
  • Organize and execute press promotional activities.
  • Participate in press events/trips organized by regional PR offices as required.
  • Conduct press blitzes when appropriate.
  • Ensure press kit information is comprehensive and up-to-date.
  • Manage advertising activities to maximize budget and ensure creative message synergy.
  • Work closely with the DOSM and advertising agency on rooms and food & beverage tactical advertising campaigns' creative and media plans.
  • Review market segmentation and other marketing reports to ensure media scheduling aligns with those segments.
  • Monitor and maintain media schedules, ensuring prompt settlement of accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience in public relations or marketing communications (preferably in hospitality).
  • Local market knowledge highly regarded.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience managing to brand standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and local language.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office.
