Piping Stress Engineer

We are seeking a Piping Stress Engineer to join our team.

  • As a Piping Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing piping stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.
  • Identify data required to perform surge analysis for each project stage.
  • Conduct surge analysis of metallic & non-metallic pipes using PIPENET software.
  • Extract surge force from PIPENET and apply it in stress analysis.
  • Prepare surge analysis reports as official deliverables.
  • Analyse systems for pressure surges that could result from various events and provide mitigation recommendations.
  • Review technical aspects of stress analysis and pipe support calculations for compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with non-metallic pipe vendors to obtain correct pipe properties.
  • Ensure stress analysis conforms to vendor-supplied parameters.
  • Develop job execution plans, work instructions, and standard drawings based on ITB requirements.
  • Estimate man-hours for projects/proposals and allocate specific jobs to engineers.
  • Control project schedule, quality, and budgeted MANHOUR.
  • Collaborate with clients/vendors to resolve key issues.
  • Monitor and adhere to technical requirements and deliverables as per ITB/contract.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).
  • Proficiency in Caesar II and PIPENET software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of piping systems, piping codes, and experience working with Caesar II and PIPENET software.
