Job Overview:

  • This role involves performing stress analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
  • It requires extracting loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from part and assembly drawings.
  • The successful candidate will apply static design values from standard references, create and refine Finite Element Models (FEMs) using geometric data, and conduct sizing of primary and secondary structures to meet static requirements.
  • Fastener loads will be extracted and detailed joint analysis will be conducted.
  • Reserve Factors (RF) will be calculated for various failure modes, including strength, buckling, shear panel failure, and other critical factors.
  • A thorough understanding of aircraft structural integrity is essential for this position, as well as the ability to analyze complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform stress analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
  2. Extract loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications.
  3. Apply static design values from standard references.
  4. Create and refine FEMs using geometric data.
  5. Conduct sizing of primary and secondary structures.
  6. Extract fastener loads and perform detailed joint analysis.
  7. Calculate Reserve Factors (RF) for various failure modes.
